The American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA) acknowledges that a master’s degree enhances the hygienist’s ability to succeed in professional areas such as:
- Education
- Research
- Administration/Management
- Public Health Dental Hygiene
The dental hygiene curriculum at UB is offered to students online or on-campus and is designed for students to gain theory and practical experience.
Whether students attend full or part time, emphasis is placed on students gaining experience and confidence to assume positions designated for graduate degree employment. Faculty are carefully selected based on their expertise in each facet of the curriculum.
Accreditation
The program in Dental Hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval without reporting requirements.” The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
